News Sources

The media in Aotearoa New Zealand almost studiously evades putting up a reliable coverage of the issues in Palestine/Israel and does not fully report on the Genocidal Israeli attack on Gaza. Or the slow moving Genocide in the other Occupied Palestinian Territories.

PSNA has decided to provide links to relevant news sources that do not hesitate to cover these issues.

Be aware that some of the links have a bias and know that we are listing them to provide a balance to the lack of reporting in New Zealand media. Be prepared to look at various sources on information until you are comfortable that you have found the facts.

Key News Sources

Al Jazeera

“When Al Jazeera launched from the Qatari capital, Doha, on Friday, November 1, 1996, it was the first independent news channel in the Arab world. Media in the Arab world, till then, was characterised by state-controlled narratives that denied audiences the right to know and the right to be heard.

Al Jazeera pioneered a new paradigm for in-depth journalism that was relevant to its audience, giving them a broad and deep perspective on regional and international affairs, putting the human being directly at the centre of the news agenda. The Channel’s founding tagline, “The Opinion and the Other Opinion”, encapsulated bringing multiple angles to a story, informing and empowering its audiences, championing their stories, while maintaining the spirit of journalistic integrity.”

Al Jazeera provides excellent coverage of the Israeli attack on Gaza.

Al Jazeera can be found on the New Zealand Freeview site.

You can find Freeview here – https://freeviewnz.tv/tvguide/whats-on/

It is line 20 on the list. You will need to Scroll down until you find it.

Middle East Eye

“The use or misuse of information is central to the conflict in the Middle East. There has been a growing need for supporters of, in particular, the Palestinian cause, to master the art of information gathering, analysis and dissemination. This requires well organised, focused and targeted operations. Such initiatives are virtually non-existent in the West today. The Middle East Monitor (MEMO) was established to fill this gap.”
